The Maharal of Prague : Rabbi Yehuda Loew ben Bezalel (1525-1609) was the leading rabbi in Prague, particularly known for the story about the golem.  He is believed to be descended from King David.  This picture is of the statue of the Maharal in the Old City of Prague.
